Background:
The Basque Innovation Agency (InnoBasque) has been tasked by the government of the Basque country with the coordination and implementation of (parts of) the Basque STEAM strategy. In the context of the development of an effective programme for school-company cooperation in secondary education, InnoBasque assessed various international best practices and (on the recommendation of the Danish national STEM platform) reached out to the EU STEM Coalition for support.
Objectives:
The main goal of the Taskforce is to develop an effective implementation programme for school-company cooperation focused on STEM in secondary education, based on existing best-practices. The 'Jet-Net'-model for school-company partnerships (from the Netherlands and Denmark) was chosen as the main focus of the Taskforce.
Results:
InnoBasque is currently preparing a Jet-Net pilot programme that will be launched in school year 2020-2021.
