In a sustainable knowledge economy, skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) are an essential part of basic literacy. The bottom-up STEM initiative ZDI (member of the EU STEM Coalition) has been making a demonstrably successful contribution to the teaching of these skills in North Rhine-Westphalia for 15 years. It is therefore organizing the above-mentioned event in view of the occasion.

The event will include contributions from Mariya Gabriel (Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Education and Youth), Sabine Verheyen (Chair of the CULT committee of the European Parliament). For the full programme and registration, please see the link above.
