Joining Forces to Foster STEM Talents

Joining Forces to Foster STEM Talents

Organisation:
CSR Europe
Country:
EU
Date:
29 March 2021

Within its collaborative platform 'Together 4 STEM', CSR Europe will organise a webinar with the companies currently taking part in this collaboration, so that you can ask them first hand anything you would like to know – why they joined, what benefits the collaboration has for their company, how they would like to collaborate with institutional stakeholders etc. The webinar will take place on 29th March at 16.00-17.00h CET. Anyone who is interested can register via the link above.

Last year, CSR Europe, together with its partners Amgen, IBM and Johnson & Johnson, launched its pilot initiative – 'STEM @ Home', to help students and teachers navigate around new realities of virtual learning. To this date, the partners share 75 free online educational resources on a wide range of topics, spanning from biology and physics, to cybersecurity, AI and critical thinking. The material, targeting children and young learners aged 6-20+, is currently offered in English, French, Italian and Spanish and has been visited by users from 39 countries from all over the globe.

With the new year, CSR Europe wants to expand its current collaboration and seek new partners who want to join its ambitious goal – to make this website a ‘go-to platform’ for STEM-related resources, a long-term reference point for digital education and effective remote learning. The partnership between companies is unique as it shows a collective approach to STEM instead of individual actions and, through collaboration, the platform allows companies to better reach students and teachers. By a targeted communication plan, participating in events, and partnering up with key European stakeholders and organisations, we aim at a stronger and wider impact to attract young people to STEM.
